Step 2**: Provide Shipping Information to TikTok Shop**

Buyers can use their accounts to make purchases on TikTok Shop. However, they will be required to provide certain information (“Registration Information“) to TikTok before purchasing any Products on TikTok Shop. TikTok will use their Registration Information to assess whether they are permitted to use TikTok Shop to make purchases.
Step 3**: Review the Order and Apply Vouchers (if any)**

Buyers will have the opportunity to review the items they have added to their shopping carts before deciding whether to pay for those Products. Buyers can remove Products they no longer wish to purchase or add more Products to their shopping carts.

At this stage, if the Seller and/or TikTok provides any vouchers/discount codes, Buyers may choose to apply those codes to receive promotional offers.

image

Step 4**: Add a Payment Method**

Buyers will then select a payment method and confirm their purchase to complete the order.

image

Step 5**: Wait for the Ordered Products to Be Delivered to the Buyer**

APPENDIX 2 – Seller Procedures

Suitable for the target segment**: Register as a Seller on TikTok Shop**

Users can register using their existing TikTok accounts or create new accounts to use TikTok Shop by accessing the Vietnamese-language link to the TikTok Shop Seller Center (https://seller-vn.tiktok.com/account/welcome). image

Registration Page

Register Using a TikTok Account: If the Seller already has a TikTok account, the Seller may choose to register for a TikTok Shop account using their existing TikTok account. To be eligible, the account must be in good standing, comply with TikTok's Community Guidelines, and meet the following requirements: (i) have more than 1,000 followers; and (ii) be at least 18 years old. For clarity, these requirements may change from time to time at TikTok's discretion.

Register Using a Phone Number and Email Address: If the Seller does not have a TikTok account, the Seller may choose to register using a phone number and email address. To ensure the security of Users' accounts, TikTok needs to verify their phone numbers and email addresses to confirm that they are indeed the individuals who created the accounts.

image
After successfully registering an account, Users will be required to read the TikTok Shop Merchant Terms of Service (i.e., the Seller Terms of Service) and TikTok's Privacy Policy for Partners, and click “Start Selling”.

Users will then need to provide store information and verification documents to complete the setup of their TikTok Shop stores.

image
For the Document Verification, step, Sellers must provide a national identity card or passport if they are individual Sellers, or a company establishment certificate (e.g., an Enterprise Registration Certificate) if they are business Sellers; and

image

provide a national identity card if the Seller is an individual Seller

image

provide company registration documents if the Seller is a business Seller

Once uploaded, the required documents will be submitted to TikTok for review, and Sellers will need to wait for verification. The Seller's Products will be displayed to Buyers after the documents have been verified.

image

After verification, Sellers will be required to link their TikTok Shop accounts to their TikTok accounts.

image

At this stage, Sellers will have two options: add an official account and/or marketing accounts:

§ Official Account: This is the Seller's official TikTok account for their store. Sellers can link only one official account, and this account cannot be linked to any other store. The Seller's listed Products will be automatically synchronized with the profile page of their official TikTok account, and they will not have to pay commissions on orders generated through this account.

§ (Marketing) Account(s): These are the Seller's marketing TikTok accounts for their store. Sellers can link up to 4 marketing accounts (this limit may change from time to time), and these accounts cannot be linked to other stores. The Seller's listed Products will not be automatically synchronized with their marketing TikTok account profiles, so they will need to synchronize their Products with their TikTok accounts manually. They will not have to pay commissions on orders generated through these accounts. Sellers may be required to undergo a trial period to be eligible to link one (01) marketing account if they are business Sellers

To link an official/marketing account, Sellers must enter the username of that account.

image

TikTok Shop will then send an invitation to that account through the TikTok Application for acceptance. If the owner of the invited TikTok account does not confirm the linking request within 48 hours, the request will automatically become invalid.

image

Once the request has been accepted, Sellers can start selling their Products through TikTok Shop.

Step 2**: Add a New Product**

After Sellers are authorized to use their accounts on TikTok Shop, their accounts will automatically be converted from non-business accounts to business accounts.

After successfully registering as a Seller on TikTok Shop, Sellers will be able to upload detailed information about their Products and list them for display to Buyers. The Seller's Product listings must provide Buyers with all terms and conditions required by law (under applicable laws) before entering into any transaction.

To add a Product, Sellers will need to provide the following information:

§ Describe the Product's name, category, and brand.

§ Basic Product Information Description. Includes Product Images, Product Description, Video (optional), Product Weight (0-70 kg), Product Dimensions (optional), Warranty Period (optional), Warranty Policy (optional), Cash on Delivery (toggle the button to the right to activate the Cash on Delivery feature for this Product)

image
§ Product Variations and Stock Keeping Unit (“SKU”) List Description. Sellers will need to provide the following information:

(i) Variations: Up to 3 types of variations (e.g., Color, Size, Length, or Fabric Type). There are limits on variation values, and Sellers can upload product images for the corresponding variations.

(ii) SKU List:

o Enter the price for every SKU. For multiple SKUs within the same product, Sellers can use the batch tool to adjust prices and inventory quantities.

o Enter the Seller's SKU name if the Seller needs an identification number for personal use (optional).

o Enter the inventory quantity.

image

The availability of certain Product selling features may be restricted for certain Sellers, at TikTok's sole discretion.

When a Transaction occurs, an Order will be created in the Seller's account. The Seller is responsible for processing and arranging the shipment of that Order.

TikTok provides Sellers with features to exchange information with Buyers to facilitate the fulfillment of certain Orders and respond to Buyer requests. Sellers may also review and respond to comments from Buyers regarding any specific Order.

When a Seller sells Products on TikTok Shop, based on the nature and operating policies of the e-commerce platform, it may be understood that the relevant Seller has authorized TikTok to collect payments from Buyers for the sale of Products and subsequently remit the payment (after deducting any applicable fees and charges) to the Seller in accordance with the agreement between TikTok and the Seller.

APPENDIX 5 – Shipping and Delivery Process

Principles for Shipping Customer Orders on TikTok Shop

1. Overview

1.1 Introduction

Products Principles for Shipping Customer Orders on TikTok Shop has been developed with the clear objectives of:

  • Building a positive shopping environment on TikTok Shop; and

Providing a shopping experience that consumers can trust.

All sellers offering and selling products through TikTok Shop must comply with these principles.

1.2 Scope

Our TikTok Shop Customer Order Shipping Principles cover shipping requirements from the time a customer places an order until the package is handed over to the carrier.

Important Note: These principles apply only to domestic transactions within their scope and may be updated from time to time to meet business needs and optimize operations.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring that products listed, sold, and supplied on TikTok Shop always comply with applicable laws and regulations. These principles are intended to promote sellers' compliance with laws and regulations. They do not cover every aspect and are not intended to constitute legal advice. We encourage sellers to consult legal counsel if they have questions about the laws and regulations applicable to their products.

These principles will be updated periodically. Sellers are responsible for checking this page regularly to ensure ongoing compliance with our current principles.

2. Shipping Methods

When a customer places an order, the shipping process begins. Sellers may choose their own logistics partners or use TikTok Shop's logistics services (available only in certain markets). It is important to note that sellers have different responsibilities depending on whether they choose Fulfilled by TikTok or Seller Shipping.

  • Fulfilled by TikTok: Order delivery is handled by TikTok Shop.
  • Seller Shipping: The Seller selects their own shipping service provider (independent carrier) to fulfill the order. This option is available only to designated sellers.image

3. Shipping Process

All sellers must complete several steps to fulfill shipping requirements. We have outlined the requirements for each step below.

3.1 Order Confirmation

After a customer places an order through TikTok Shop, the seller must review the order to check whether the requested item is in stock and can be sold and delivered to the customer. If the seller discovers that they cannot fulfill the order, they must follow the procedures in the TikTok Shop Customer Order Cancellation, Return, and Refund Policy to cancel the order.

3.2 Packaging

Sellers must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and directives relating to product packaging materials. Sellers must also comply with any additional obligations required under relevant laws or by the carrier to ensure appropriate packaging is used for special products.

3.2.1 Item Packaging

Sellers must carefully package all products to reduce the risk of damage during shipping. Below are some packaging guidelines:

o Sellers must select the correct size and type of packaging for their products.

o Sellers may only ship products permitted by the carrier.

o Sellers must check the carrier's latest terms, conditions, and policies to confirm that products can be shipped.

o Sellers must not include any information intended to solicit positive customer reviews.

o Sellers must not include any information instructing customers to return products in exchange for other benefits or containing inappropriate information.
o Sellers must not include or attach any unauthorized promotional or advertising materials, such as flyers, display materials, price tags, or other unrelated materials.

o Where special packaging is required for liquids or sharp objects (e.g., cutlery, items that can be cut, fragile, perishable goods, textiles, hazardous materials, batteries, etc.), sellers must follow the shipping service provider's instructions.

o Sellers must not package any products that the customer did not order.

o If any item requires special handling, sellers should notify the carrier before shipping.

3.2.2 Cardboard Box Packaging

Some items may require outer cardboard box packaging. When using cardboard boxes, sellers must meet all of the following requirements

o Cardboard boxes and packaging materials (e.g., cushioning, filling materials) must adequately protect items during shipping. Using unsuitable packaging materials may result in customers refusing delivery and returning the items.

o Choose a cardboard box of an appropriate size to ensure the minimum amount of empty space after placing the order inside. Sellers may also pack multiple items in one cardboard box to maximize space utilization (provided that doing so does not damage the items).

o Ensure that cardboard boxes are securely fastened and sealed, especially for small and lightweight items (longest side <30 cm, <1kg) để tránh hàng bị mất>

o Use large cushioning materials, such as air pillows, full sheets of paper, foam sheets, or bubble wrap. Do not use any loose-fill materials such as packing peanuts or shredded paper.

o Do not attempt to fasten boxes together using sacks, rubber bands, adhesive tape, or additional straps.

o Avoid using large staples or nylon strings, as they are very dangerous for logistics handling staff.

3.2.3 After-Sales Issues (Damaged Packages)

If a customer raises an after-sales issue due to a broken product or damaged package, the following rules will apply:

o If the seller has selected the shipping method Seller Shipping, the seller is responsible for resolving the after-sales issue.

o If the seller has selected the shipping method TikTok Shipping, TikTok Shop will investigate to determine whether the seller or the shipping carrier is responsible. Please note that the shipping carrier will not be held responsible if the package is damaged because the seller failed to package the item properly.

o If the seller and customer cannot resolve the issue themselves, we may intervene in accordance with the TikTok Shop After-Sales Dispute Resolution Guidelines.

3.3 Package Labeling

All packages must have a securely attached shipping label containing the following information:

  • Customer's full name and postal address (including ZIP code / postal code)

Customer's order number

  • Seller's full name and address.

When preparing package labels, all sellers must meet the following requirements:

  • Shipping labels must not contain hyperlinks, QR codes, contact information from other platforms, or information unrelated to the order.

Attach the correct label to each individual cardboard box. Shipping carriers may remove or dispose of items with incorrectly attached labels if the owner's information is unclear. They may need to relabel the items, and the seller will be responsible for the relabeling fees.

  • Securely attach the barcode provided by the shipping carrier to the cardboard box.

Customers should ensure that the delivery information entered in their orders is complete. If any shipping issues arise due to inaccurate customer information or incomplete recipient details, customers will bear the consequences (such as failed delivery).

3.4 Handing Packages Over to the Shipping Carrier

When handing packages over to shipping partners, please note the following differences between the shipping methods Seller Shipping and TikTok Shipping.

3.4.1 Seller Shipping

For the Seller Shipping, shipping method, sellers must:

o Complete all packaging and contact the shipping carrier to collect the package.

o After the package collection process is completed (ship the package), sellers must follow these steps in Seller Center:
§ Update the order status to “Shipped”
§ Enter a valid package tracking ID
§ Enter the name of the shipping carrier

3.4.2 TikTok Shipping

For the TikTok Shipping, sellers can hand packages over to the shipping carrier using either of the following two methods:
o Pickup, or
o Drop-off

Pickup

o Complete all packaging, schedule a pickup, and hand over the package to the shipping carrier within 2 business days after the order is placed.

o After the package is shipped, the shipping carrier will update the order status to **”Shipped”** in the system.

o The status “Shipped” will be displayed in Seller Center → the “Manage Orders” section.

o If the shipping carrier experiences delays, sellers can file a complaint by selecting the topic “Complaints & Disputes – Shipping Carrier”.

Drop-off
o Sellers must complete the packaging process and select the nearest drop-off location in Seller Center.

o After that, they must update the order status in the Seller Center to “Awaiting Shipment – Pending Collection“.

  • Sellers must then deposit the parcel at the selected drop-off point within 2 business days after the order is placed.

o After the parcel is dropped off, the shipping carrier will collect the package and update the order status to “Shipped” in the system. This status will be displayed in Seller Center → “Manage Orders”.

o If there are any delays caused by the shipping carrier, sellers can submit a complaint by selecting “Appeals & Disputes – Logistics Provider”.

*Important Note on Business Days*

TikTok Shop defines a “business day” in Vietnam as any day from Monday to Saturday. Sundays and national public holidays are not considered business days.

3.4.3 Requirements for Both Shipping Methods

For both shipping methods, sellers must ensure the following:

o Ensure that the package is collected.

o Ensure that the order status in Seller Center is updated to “Shipped” within 2 business days after the order has been paid for.

When handing over a package to a shipping carrier, sellers are responsible for:

o Handing the package over to the correct shipping carrier.

o Ensuring that the product and package remain intact before shipping. We recommend that sellers take photos of the package for record-keeping in case of future disputes.
Important notes: Sellers must not update order statuses dishonestly or fraudulently. We will monitor and review actual order statuses and may take action against sellers' accounts if any dishonest conduct is detected and confirmed.

3.5 Checking Delivery Status

From parcel dispatch to delivery confirmation, all delivery operations are handled by the shipping carrier. Sellers should pay attention to all shipping processes as well as the final status of dispatched packages. The order status will be updated to “Delivered” after the shipping carrier updates the status.

3.5.1 Final Order Status

o For the Seller Shipping, TikTok Shop will use logistics data provided by third-party companies to check and verify order statuses. It is important to note that sellers bear full responsibility for customer complaints relating to logistics issues or errors.

o For the TikTok Shipping, the shipping carrier will update the order status in Seller Center to “Delivered” after obtaining the recipient's signature or confirmation.

3.5.2 Delivery Timeframes

Please note that delivery timeframes vary depending on the shipping method.

o For this shipping method Seller Shipping, sellers should have separate contracts with their selected shipping carrier(s) and establish the necessary controls to monitor the quality of the carriers' services.

§ If the shipping carrier fails to deliver within twice the committed delivery timeframe, the package will be considered lost.

§ If the customer does not receive the package within 12 days from the order date, it will be considered “lost”.

§ In cases of abnormal delivery, such as damaged packages, lost packages, or delivery delays, we may cancel the order and notify the customer to submit a refund request.

o For the TikTok Shipping, sellers can check delivery status updates in the “Manage Orders” section of Seller Center.

§ If the shipping carrier fails to deliver within the committed delivery timeframe (based on tracking information or feedback from the shipping service provider), the package will be considered delayed.

§ In cases of abnormal delivery, such as damaged packages, lost packages, or delivery delays, we may cancel the order and/or notify the customer to submit a refund request.

3.6 Automatic Order Cancellation

The automatic order cancellation feature on the TikTok Shop platform automatically cancels orders and refunds buyers if sellers ship orders late.

TikTok Shop will cancel both Pre-Orders and Standard Orders if the orders are not shipped before their respective shipping deadlines. The conditions for automatic cancellation on TikTok Shop vary depending on whether the order is a Pre-Order or a Standard Order.

· Standard Orders (non-pre-orders) are orders that sellers can process within TikTok Shop's standard Order Handling Time (SLA) of 2 business days.

· Pre-orders are orders that require a longer processing time than the standard Order Handling Time (SLA) of 2 calendar days. The pre-order feature is only available to invited sellers.

3.7 “48H Shipping” Label”

The “48H Shipping” label is a platform feature displayed as an icon/tag on sellers' listed products. The program aims to enhance customers' TikTok Shop experience and help sellers increase their platform sales.

· Sellers eligible to use this feature (see Section 3.7.1 below) will have their products tagged with the “48H Shipping” label, which will appear on the Product Details, Order Submission, and Order Details pages for customers.
o Note: This label does not apply to pre-order or virtual products (depending on the definitions or scope determined by us from time to time).

· These sellers can view which of their products have been tagged in the Order Management tab in Seller Center.

· The “48H Shipping” label requires sellers to pack and hand over products to the shipping carrier within 48 hours after an order is placed. Sellers will receive a reminder 24 hours before this 48-hour period expires.

· If sellers fail to meet the 48-hour shipping deadline, TikTok Shop will automatically issue appropriate compensation to customers in the form of a store coupon.

Important notes: This feature is currently only available in Vietnam and the Philippines.

1.1 3.7.1 Evaluation Criteria

· Sellers may qualify for the “48H Shipping” label if they meet the following criteria:

image

1.1 Label Retention Standards

· To retain the “48H Shipping” label, sellers must ship more than 80% of the orders they receive within 48 hours of order placement. They must also receive at least 50 orders during that week.

· TikTok Shop will remove the “48H Shipping” label from a seller's products if they fail to meet the above criteria.

· Sellers will be notified through Seller Center if TikTok Shop removes the “48H Shipping” label from their products.

The following are some prohibited shipping practices on TikTok Shop.

o Order data and shipping data do not match.
o Any other inaccurate or misleading shipping information.

4.3.2 After-Sales Issues (Shipping Fraud)

If customers raise any after-sales issues related to shipping fraud, the resolution process will depend on the shipping method.

o If the seller selects the Ship by Seller, method, the seller must promptly resolve the customer's request with the selected shipping carrier to address the issue. TikTok Shop will not intervene because we do not have a direct relationship with the shipping carrier.

o If the seller selects the Ship by TikTok, method, we will request the carrier to provide the necessary supporting documents for investigation. Sellers may also submit an appeal by selecting “Appeals & Disputes – Shipping Service Provider” in Seller Center.

If the submitted information and keywords fall within a prohibited category, the system will automatically block them, and the Product will not be listed on TikTok Shop. At the same time, the system will notify the Seller of the error code and the reason for the prohibition so that the Seller can take corrective action.

· If the scanning system suspects that a Product belongs to a prohibited product category under Vietnamese law or TikTok policies in effect at the relevant time, the suspected Product will be forwarded to moderation personnel for further review and will be removed if a violation is confirmed.

· TikTok personnel conduct continuous moderation to ensure the timely detection and removal of violating information, content, and Products from TikTok Shop.

· TikTok also provides a mechanism for Users to submit reports concerning suspected information and/or Products on TikTok Shop, allowing TikTok to review such reports.

• sending an official warning message;
• delist a Product;
• suspend Your Product listing privileges;
• temporarily or permanently suspend Your seller benefits, participation in Your affiliate programs, or access to TikTok Shop;

APPENDIX 6.1 – Intellectual Property Policy

(subject to change and periodic updates)

1. Overview
The TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Policy has been specifically established to:

  • Build and promote a safe and trustworthy e-commerce environment on TikTok Shop, and

Provide a positive experience for sellers and consumers in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

All TikTok Shop users (the “Platform”) are strictly prohibited from infringing the intellectual property rights (“IPR”) of others.

Users who upload content, list products or services, or use our Platform in any way that infringes the IPR of others will be subject to the measures detailed in our Platform policies, including (but not limited to):

  • Restrictions on product listings.
  • Suspension of seller or creator accounts.
  • Permanent termination of access to our Platform.

Any additional actions that we deem necessary – including, but not limited to, independently or jointly pursuing civil or criminal legal proceedings with the IPR owner.

The TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Policy is updated from time to time. Please check this page regularly to ensure that you stay informed of our latest policy. If you are unsure whether the material you intend to report to us infringes or violates the rights of others, you may also wish to seek legal advice before reporting such content to us.
2. Types of Intellectual Property Rights
Intellectual Property, commonly referred to as IP (Intellectual Property), refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names and images.

There are various types of IPR that sellers and/or creators may display, upload, communicate or use on our Platform, including but not limited to:
2.1 Trademarks
Trademarks include, but are not limited to, any words, symbols, slogans, designs, styles or combinations of any of the above that identify the origin of a product or service and distinguish it from other products or services. Trademark registration grants the owner the exclusive right to use that trademark for the goods or services for which it is registered.
2.2 Copyright
Copyright is a legal right that protects original works and prevents others from using them without the owner's permission. Graphics, paintings, photographs, videos, text and songs are examples of works that may be protected by copyright.
2.3 Patents
Patents protect inventions and grant their owners the right to prevent others from making, using, disposing of, importing, offering for sale or selling anything that uses or is created using the invention in the jurisdiction where the patent is granted.
2.4 Designs
The appearance and shape of all or part of a product (for example, the shape and/or ornamentation of a product), whether three-dimensional or two-dimensional, may be protected under design rights, which vary across jurisdictions. Owners of such rights have the exclusive right to manufacture products or incorporate designs.
3. IPR Infringement
Types of IPR infringement prohibited on our Platform include, but are not limited to:
3.1 Trademark Infringement
Trademark infringement may occur when a mark that is similar or identical to a registered trademark is used without the trademark owner's consent. Infringement may occur if the mark (similar or identical to a registered trademark) is used in connection with similar or identical goods/services where such use is likely to cause confusion among the public or lead them to associate the mark with the registered trademark.
3.2 Copyright Infringement
Copyright infringement includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using copyrighted subject matter in the description of any product or service without the copyright owner's consent.
  • Listing products that contain copyrighted subject matter without the copyright owner's consent.
  • Listing products that reproduce copyrighted subject matter without appropriate authorization (or a lawful justification) from the copyright owner.

3.3 Patent Infringement
Patent infringement includes, but is not limited to, making, using, importing, offering for sale, or selling a patented product, or providing a patented process for use without the permission of the IPR owner in the jurisdiction where the patent is granted.
3.4 Design Infringement
Design infringement includes any unauthorized use of the relevant design, including but not limited to:

  • Manufacturing, offering, marketing, importing, exporting, or using a product in which the design is incorporated or to which the unauthorized design is applied.

Stockpiling a product in which the unauthorized design is incorporated or to which it is applied without the consent of the IPR owner.

For each type of infringement identified above, unless otherwise provided under applicable law, infringement will only occur if the unauthorized infringing act takes place during the relevant IPR protection period.
4. Procedure for Submitting an IPR Infringement Notice
IPR Owner or their authorized representative may submit an IPR infringement notice. Before submitting an IPR infringement notice, please note that knowingly submitting a misleading or fraudulent notice may result in liability for damages or other penalties under local law. If you are unsure whether you are an intellectual property owner or whether your rights are protected by intellectual property law, please consult a lawyer.

When submitting an IPR infringement notice to us, rights owners or their authorized representatives must follow the procedures set out in Sections 4.1 or 4.2 below.

Note: We may provide the account holder you identify in your IPR infringement notice with your contact information, including the email address and name of the IPR owner, and/or other details of the notice, in accordance with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4.1 Submitting an IPR Infringement Notice through the TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Protection Center

  • IPR owners/authorized representatives may use the Intellectual Property Protection Center (IPPC) of TikTok Shop to submit IPR infringement notices.
  • The IPPC is an integrated platform that allows rights owners to protect their IPR in relation to products sold on our Platform. Rights owners can submit details of their IPR, identify infringing products, submit IPR infringement notices, and track the progress of submitted notices through the IPPC.
  • Rights owners must provide complete information when requested on the IPPC. Failure to provide the required information may limit our ability to investigate complaints and result in your notice being rejected.
  • During the investigation, we may also request additional information to process the IPR infringement notice.

4.2 Submitting an IPR Infringement Notice through the TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Rights Report Form

  • If IPR owners/authorized representatives cannot access the IPPC, IPR owners/authorized representatives may submit an online intellectual property infringement notice by submitting the TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Rights Report.
  • All notices must contain the information required in the form TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Rights Report. Failure to provide the required information may limit our ability to investigate your complaints and result in your complaint being rejected.
  • During the investigation, we may also request additional information to process the IPR infringement notice.

5. Types of IPR Infringement Notices Not Accepted by TikTok Shop
Types of notices that will not be accepted by our Platform include, but are not limited to:
5.1 Third-Party Products or Services
Our Platform is not in a position to adjudicate disputes between third parties. Copyright owners are encouraged to contact the legal entity and/or individual user who posted the product/content or the account owner to try to resolve their issues directly in the first instance.
5.2 Distribution Agreements
Our Platform respects the rights of brand owners, manufacturers, trading companies, and distributors to enter into agreements governing how their products are distributed (such as exclusive distribution agreements). However, breaches of such agreements generally do not constitute IPR infringement. Since enforcing agreements relating to product distribution is a matter between the parties to those agreements, the Platform generally does not support this type of enforcement activity (unless the reported actions constitute IPR infringement).
5.3 Parallel Imports
Unless expressly prohibited by the laws of the country where the IPR infringement notice is submitted, the Platform will not process claims against parallel imports or gray-market products in countries where our Platform operates.
5.4 Resale Price Control
Our Platform will not process notices based solely on products being listed for sale at a specific price point, such as the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) or Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).
5.5 Fair Dealing
The use of third-party copyrighted works for research, private study, criticism/review, reporting current events, parody, or other equivalent purposes will not violate our policies if it complies with the specific criteria and/or applicable fair dealing laws.
5.6 Honest Commercial Practices
The use of a third-party trademark may not constitute infringement if the trademark is used (among other purposes) to describe the characteristics of goods/services or the intended purpose of a product or service. This specifically includes accessories or replacement parts (provided that, in each case, the use is consistent with honest practices in industrial or commercial matters).
5.7 Jurisdiction
Our Platform does not take action on IPR infringement notices relating to trademarks, patents, or designs from countries other than the country in which the takedown is requested. If you submit an infringement notice to the Platform concerning a trademark/patent/design, your trademark/patent/design must be protected in the country where you submit the infringement notice. For example, if you own a trademark registered only in Indonesia and a takedown notice concerning a product listing is submitted in the United Kingdom, your notice will not be successful.
6. Enforcement Measures
We may take enforcement measures against seller accounts that we believe violate the TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Policy in accordance with the TikTok Shop Seller Performance Evaluation Policy and Seller Terms of Service. Sellers should note that repeated violations may result in more severe penalties.

  • Enforcement measures include, but are not limited to:

o Removal and/or restriction of infringing products/content.
o Termination of Seller Accounts and Retailer Terms of Service.
o Confiscate sellers' deposits.

Our platform also reserves the right to report sellers who violate local laws and regulations to the relevant legal authorities, where appropriate. We also reserve the right to provide the authorities with any relevant information concerning any seller account or violation without prior notice to the seller.

Subject to any applicable data protection obligations, the Platform also reserves the right to disclose seller information or data to relevant rights holders or any other third party in order to comply with any legal requirements, enforce our policies, or address potential third-party rights infringements arising from any content found on our Platform or any use of our Platform. The disclosure of seller information or data includes, but is not limited to, names, shipping addresses, contact details, associated accounts, logistics data, sales information, and any other information deemed appropriate by our Platform.
7. Procedure for Submitting an IPR Infringement Counter-Notification
If sellers or creators receive an IPR infringement notice that they believe was issued in error, or believe they are authorized to use the products and/or content, they may contact the IPR owner directly to request a withdrawal.

Sellers or creators may also submit an appeal through the Seller Center by submitting a ticket. Our Platform will then investigate the case and take corrective action, where applicable.

The appeal guidelines are as follows:

  • Sellers may submit a maximum of two appeals for a single case. The first appeal may be submitted within 30 days from the date we impose the enforcement measure. The second appeal may be submitted within 15 days from the date the first appeal is rejected.
  • Creators may submit an appeal within 30 days from the date we impose the enforcement measure.
  • If a seller's or creator's appeal is successful, we will remove any penalties imposed and restore any privileges previously revoked.
  • If a seller or creator decides to waive their right to appeal or is unable to provide valid and clear documentation to establish authenticity, the appeal will be considered unsuccessful.
  • All decisions made by the Platform are at our sole discretion.

Appeals submitted after the deadlines specified above will not constitute valid appeals and will not be considered.

Please include the following documents in your counter-notification:

  • Identification information. For individuals, please provide your full name. For organizations, please attach a copy of your business registration certificate.
  • Contact information. In addition to your full name, please provide your address, email address, phone number, and a statement confirming that you consent to the jurisdiction in which our Platform is located and agree to accept service of process from the claimant, where applicable.
  • Nature of the Counter-Notification. Identify the products and/or content that have been removed (or to which access has been disabled) and explain in detail why such products and/or content do not infringe another party's IPR – or why the products or activities were removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification.
  • Evidence of your IPR or authorization. Provide evidence of IPR ownership, such as your registration certificates issued by the relevant authorities. If you are not the IPR owner, you must provide documents signed or stamped by the IPR owner demonstrating that they have authorized you to use the IPR.
  • **Good Faith Belief.** Include a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  • Other information. Provide any other documents that may support your counter-notification.

Failure to provide the required information may limit our ability to process your appeal and result in your counter-notification being rejected. Our Platform may request additional information to verify your authority to submit the counter-notification.

*Note: You will be liable for any damages incurred by TikTok Shop and/or the Platform's affiliates (including costs and legal fees) if you knowingly misrepresent that a product or activity does not infringe another party's IPR, or that a product or activity was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification. Therefore, if you are unsure whether certain material infringes another party's intellectual property rights, or whether the material or activity was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification, we recommend consulting a lawyer at the outset.

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee a successful outcome. An appeal ensures that the Platform will review the relevant case when considering additional documents or explanations provided by the seller.

Processing a counter-notification takes time, so please be patient. During this period, the IPR claimant may file a lawsuit seeking a court order to have the content removed from our Platform in accordance with local laws.

Please note that we will provide the entire counter-notification to the original reporter, including the contact information you provide, in accordance with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

If we do not receive notice that the original reporter is seeking a court order to prevent further infringement involving the material in question, we may restore or cease disabling access to the removed material if it does not infringe a third party's IPR. The decision to repost any content rests with the Platform.

APPENDIX 6.2 – TikTok Shop Product Listing Guidelines for Sellers

(subject to change and periodic updates)

1. Overview

1.1 Introduction
These TikTok Shop Product Listing Guidelines have been developed for the following purposes:

  • To build a positive shopping environment on TikTok Shop; and

To provide a shopping experience that customers can trust.

All sellers offering products for sale on TikTok Shop must comply with these guidelines and applicable laws.
1.2 Scope
These TikTok Shop Product Listing Guidelines set out the product listing requirements for sellers who wish to list their products on TikTok Shop.

Important notes: Sellers are also responsible for ensuring that the listing, sale, and supply of products on TikTok Shop always comply with applicable laws and regulations.
These guidelines are intended to facilitate retailer compliance. They do not cover every possible situation and are not intended to constitute legal advice. We encourage sellers to seek independent legal advice if they have questions about the laws and regulations applicable to their products.

In addition to these Product Listing Guidelines, we have separately published the Prohibited and Restricted Products Guidelines. Sellers must also ensure compliance with these guidelines before listing any products.

The Product Listing Guidelines are updated periodically. Sellers are responsible for checking this guidelines page regularly to ensure compliance with current requirements.
2. Definitions

  • A Seller is any individual or company that sells items on TikTok Shop.
  • Content refers to all forms of media that creators/sellers can upload to TikTok Shop. This includes all available formats, such as e-commerce shop windows, videos, and livestreams.

3. Product Listing Restrictions
When viewing product listings, customers expect the information provided to be truthful, accurate, verifiable, honest, and not misleading. Sellers must comply with these guidelines as well as applicable laws and regulations when creating product listing content. The following guidelines outline content and conduct that are prohibited on TikTok Shop.
3.1 Misleading Product Listings
Product listings must not mislead customers in any way. The following are some guidelines for sellers to follow.
3.1.1 Misrepresentation of Information
All product descriptions (listing content) and related images must accurately represent the actual products being sold.

  • Product descriptions must not be misleading through affirmative statements or omissions of information.
  • Sellers are prohibited from displaying misleading information, such as inconsistent prices or discounts, images, brand names, descriptions, attributes, designs, selling points, product guarantees, or warranties.
  • All product attributes provided by sellers must be complete, accurate, and consistent with the product descriptions, names, and images on the TikTok Shop product listing page. All product descriptions and attributes must also accurately reflect the products that customers will receive.
  • Sellers must not display any false information relating to services that facilitate product sales, including but not limited to shipping and logistics services, return and refund services, and customer service.
  • Sellers must not display any misleading information about themselves (e.g., seller characteristics or intellectual property ownership).

  • Exaggerated claims about immediate effects or results within a specific period

3.1.3 Comparisons
Product listings must not compare products with products or other e-commerce websites.
Example:

  • This product is cheaper than XX on the ABC website

False claims that a product or service can improve or cure medical conditions are considered deliberately misleading. Examples include:

  • ‘Before’ and ‘After’ images, such as images showing purported results of acne-cleansing creams, fat-dissolving creams, or weight-loss supplements.

3.1.4 Exaggerated Promotional Pricing

Sellers must familiarize themselves with the relevant guidelines in their target markets and applicable laws to ensure that their product listings fully comply with these requirements.
3.1.7 Using Clickbait Tactics to Attract Traffic
Sellers must not circumvent or abuse our platform systems, policies, or guidelines by using clickbait tactics or deceptive product listing practices. Clickbait tactics include, but are not limited to:

  • Listing products in unusual or unconventional quantities or units.

o Example: Tissue paper is commonly sold in “packs”, but a seller lists it by the “sheet”.

  • Changing the title, images, key attributes, or descriptive information to make a product appear to be a different product or a distinct item in order to deceive users into clicking the listing.
  • Using deceptive pricing practices to attract traffic. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Listing products from different categories for sale in a single product listing. For example, listing a T-shirt and a necklace in the same product listing.
  • Listing completely different items from the same category for sale in a single product listing. For example, listing a short-sleeved shirt and a long-sleeved shirt in the same product listing.
  • Listing products with different characteristics, such as materials, specifications, or attributes, at different prices in a single product listing. For example, listing gold and silver necklaces at different prices in the same product listing.

  • Listing non-existent products or products that are not intended for sale.
  • Listing product sets and individual products for sale in a single product listing.

  • Any other dishonest pricing practices or practices intended to deceive users into clicking a product listing.

3.2 Claims Regarding Weight-Control Products or Medical Capabilities

  • Any content using trademarks or logos for commercial gain, unless expressly authorized by the owner of the trademark or logo.

Please refer to our TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Policy for more details.
3.8 Off-Platform Ordering Information
As TikTok Shop cannot guarantee the safety of other websites or landing pages, product listings must not contain any links or references to off-platform ordering information. This includes, but is not limited to, links to other websites for placing orders, phone numbers, social media accounts, email addresses, and QR codes. Product listings must also not contain any “calls to action” encouraging customers to leave TikTok Shop to place orders.
3.9 Imposing Unfair Conditions
3.9.1 Unfair Conduct or Customer Conditions
Sellers are prohibited from stating, proposing, or imposing unfair sales conditions on customers in their product listings. This includes, but is not limited to, all information contained in product images and descriptions. Prohibited unfair conduct and conditions toward customers include::

  • Intimidating, insulting, threatening, or making inappropriate statements intended to make customers act in the seller's interests or prevent them from providing honest feedback. Examples include:

o “Customers who leave bad reviews will be ignored.”
o “Customers who request returns/refunds will face consequences.”
o “Customers who leave negative ratings/reviews will be reported.”

o “Orders can only be canceled within 10 minutes of being placed.”
o “The product warranty will be void if the customer does not leave a 5-star review.”
3.10 Other Listing Restrictions

  • Sellers must not abuse or manipulate the TikTok Shop platform to generate large amounts of unnatural traffic to product listing content. This includes using irrelevant or misleading descriptions of brands or key product attributes in product titles, or simulating fake customer traffic through bots or similar techniques.
  • Sellers must not display fake customer reviews or modify any customer reviews to promote products. Sellers must not claim that reviews of their products were written by customers who have actually used or purchased the products without taking the necessary steps to verify this.
  • Sellers are prohibited from displaying any content on their product listing pages that violates laws, regulations, local cultures, or other social conventions.

4. Product Listing Requirements
Product listing information, including text, videos, and images, must accurately represent the actual key characteristics of the product and include all relevant information required by applicable laws.
The following information must be provided when listing products on TikTok Shop.
4.1 Product Titles
All product titles must be accurate, concise, and include all necessary information to enable customers to make informed purchasing decisions.

We encourage sellers to include information such as the brand (provided they have obtained the relevant authorization from the brand owner), product type, material, main characteristics/features, and quantity in product titles.
Example: A product titled “Little Lamb Collection Pure White Cotton Tablecloth (150cm x 150cm), Pack of 2” is a better title than “White Tablecloth”.

The following must not be included in product titles:

  • Marketing materials, promotional offers, or any other information that does not describe the product itself (e.g., “50% off”).
  • Seller URLs or seller names.
  • Use of the TikTok brand or references to “TikTok” without TikTok's permission, or references to other e-commerce platforms or websites.
  • Poor-quality data, such as symbols or special characters.

4.2 Product Descriptions
Product descriptions allow sellers to provide additional information about their products. Customers must receive all the information they could reasonably expect from sellers to make informed purchasing decisions. Sellers are also responsible for ensuring that product descriptions contain all product information required by applicable laws and regulations.
All product descriptions, listings, and images must:

  • Describe the main characteristics of the product (e.g., features, functions, ingredients, quantity, etc.).
  • Contain at least 30 words.
  • Be clearly written to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Be in a language supported by TikTok Shop in the seller's target market.
  • Be in a language currently supported by TikTok Shop in that country.
  • Include all applicable product information, specifications, and safety warnings. This is particularly important for certain product categories (e.g., dietary supplements).

4.3 Product Categories
Sellers must select the appropriate product category when listing their products. Selecting an incorrect category will be considered a violation of these guidelines and may result in enforcement actions against the seller (see “Additional Information and Inspection” below).
4.4 Brands
Sellers may only use brand names on product listing pages if authorized by the brand owner (or if permitted under applicable laws). Please refer to our TikTok Shop Intellectual Property Policy for more details.
4.5 Images & Videos
All uploaded product images and videos must:

  • Accurately represent the products being sold.

Truthfully reflect what customers will receive after purchasing. In particular, ensure that customers are not misled by inaccurate images, videos, or omissions of information.

The following technical requirements apply to all images and videos included in TikTok Shop product listing content.

image
Important notes: In addition to the requirements above, our TikTok Shop Content Guidelines also apply to all images and videos, where applicable.

4.6 “What's in the Box”
Sellers must clearly specify the product and all included accessories. For example, if a wireless speaker comes with a USB charger, each item must be clearly listed.
4.7 Package Weight and Dimensions
Sellers must provide accurate package weight and dimensions in accordance with the instructions in Seller Center.
4.8 Sales Attributes (Stock Keeping Unit Information)
Sellers are required to maintain accurate Stock Keeping Unit (SKU*) information and clearly list products and their attributes. For example, information about color, size, pattern, and other key attributes may be required for certain product types.

Sellers must follow the instructions in Seller Center when entering product SKUs and sales attributes.

  • Note: A Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) refers to a product with different sizes, colors, flavors, etc., included in a single listing. These are represented as variations of the original product that customers can select according to their preferences. For example, a T-shirt (product) available in different sizes has a separate SKU for each size.

4.9 Product Pricing
Sellers are responsible for setting prices on TikTok Shop. When displaying prices, sellers must comply with the following guidelines.

  • Sellers must always clearly state the total price, all applicable taxes, and all other price components.
  • The listed price (i.e., reference price), selling price (i.e., promotional price, if applicable), and relevant shipping fee(s) must be clearly displayed to customers.
  • The listed price of a product must always be higher than its selling price.
  • Sellers must ensure that their product pricing practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Sellers must follow the instructions in Seller Center on how to enter accurate pricing information.

Sellers play an essential role in maintaining customer trust. Pricing practices that undermine customer trust are prohibited on TikTok Shop.
Negative pricing practices include, but are not limited to:

  • Setting unusual prices or prices significantly higher than current market prices. This includes, but is not limited to, setting an unusually high price for a product compared with its recent market price.
  • Creating significant price fluctuations or changes within a short period.
  • Engaging in pricing practices that do not comply with applicable laws.
  • Setting unusually high or significantly excessive shipping fees.

Sellers must not list products at low or discounted prices without intending to sell the products or fulfill customer orders.

Any similar conduct or practices described above will be considered a violation of these Product Listing Guidelines and may result in TikTok Shop enforcement actions (see “Additional Information and Inspection” below).
4.10 Language
All product descriptions, listings, and images must be in a language currently supported by TikTok Shop in the seller's target market.
4.11 Multiple Product Listings

  • A product listing page may only contain information about one product. Listing multiple products on a single page is strictly prohibited.
  • Duplicate product listings are not permitted. For example, each product may only have one product listing.
  • Products with SKU variations (i.e., available in different sizes, colors, flavors, etc.) should be included in a single product listing. For example, T-shirts in different sizes and colors should be displayed on one listing page that allows customers to select their preferred color and size on the same page. Sellers are not permitted to list a T-shirt in four different colors as four separate products.
  • Unrelated products (i.e., products with different brands, categories, product lines, models, etc.) must not be included in a single product listing. For example, different lipstick brands must not be displayed in one product listing.
  • If sellers intend to sell products or products packaged in different sets, the details of all included products must be clearly specified for each individual SKU.
  • Sellers must not relist products that have previously been prohibited or removed by our platform.

5. Additional Information and Inspection
TikTok Shop may review and inspect product listing content at any time. If a product listing violates these guidelines, sellers may be subject to various enforcement actions as outlined in Seller Terms of Service*.

APPENDIX 7 – Dispute Resolution and Complaint Handling Procedures

(subject to change and periodic updates)

1. Disputes Between Sellers and Buyers

Sellers and Buyers are responsible for resolving all disputes between them promptly and fairly. TikTok may facilitate communication between Sellers and Buyers in accordance with the policies and procedures set out in TikTok Shop's After-Sales Dispute Handling Guidelines, but is not a party to any such dispute and is under no obligation to do so.

If a Buyer submits any complaint or dispute between the Buyer and Seller to TikTok, TikTok will require the Seller and Buyer to provide relevant documents and information that TikTok reasonably requests to facilitate dispute resolution. The Seller undertakes to fully comply with any settlement agreement or outcome agreed with the Buyer under the Seller Terms of Service, including any decision made pursuant to TikTok Shop's After-Sales Dispute Handling Guidelines.

For more details, please refer to TikTok Shop's After-Sales Dispute Handling Guidelines attached to this Appendix 7.

2. Disputes Between Users and TikTok

For Buyers: If a Buyer has a dispute with TikTok relating to TikTok Shop, the Buyer is first encouraged to contact TikTok at https://tiktok.com/feedback/email or through TikTok's customer support service and attempt to resolve the dispute with TikTok informally.

If TikTok is unable to resolve the dispute informally, the dispute will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC Rules”) in force at the time of the proceedings, which rules are deemed to be incorporated into these Terms by reference in this clause. The arbitration proceedings will take place in Singapore. The arbitral tribunal will consist of three (3) arbitrators. The language of the arbitration proceedings will be English.

For Sellers: If a Seller has a complaint about TikTok Shop, the Seller's access to or use of TikTok Shop, the terms applicable to Sellers, or any alleged conduct by TikTok, the Seller may submit a complaint through TikTok's internal complaint-handling system by sending an email to https://tiktok.com/feedback/email, or by sending a message through TikTok's in-app customer service tool. Sellers may also request information about the operation and effectiveness of TikTok's internal complaint-handling system by sending an email to https://tiktok.com/feedback/email, or by sending a message through TikTok's in-app customer service tool.

In the event of a dispute between a Seller and TikTok, such dispute will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre in force at the time of the proceedings, which rules are deemed to be incorporated into this clause by reference. The seat of arbitration will be Singapore. The arbitral tribunal will consist of three (3) arbitrators. The language of the arbitration proceedings will be English.

TikTok Shop's After-Sales Dispute Handling Guidelines

1. Overview

1.1 Introduction

Products TikTok Shop's After-Sales Dispute Handling Guidelines These have been drafted with the specific purpose of:

  • Building a positive shopping environment on TikTok Shop; and

Providing a shopping experience that consumers can trust.

All sellers offering products for sale through TikTok Shop must comply with this policy and the Seller Terms of Service.

1.2 Scope

TikTok Shop's After-Sales Dispute Handling Guidelines The following guidelines have been drafted to establish the basic requirements for handling after-sales disputes. These guidelines apply to customers involved in serious disputes with sellers over after-sales issues through our after-sales dispute handling service. These terms also explain the principles, procedures, and fundamentals of handling and resolving such issues.

Important notes

This after-sales dispute handling service supplements the remedies and rights of recourse available to customers against sellers under applicable laws. This service does not in any way restrict customers' rights against sellers under applicable laws.

Any restrictions or limitations set out in these guidelines relate to the feasibility of the after-sales dispute handling service provided by TikTok. They do not restrict customers' rights under applicable laws to raise after-sales issues directly with sellers, TikTok, or third parties.

These TikTok Shop policies will be updated periodically. Sellers should check this page regularly to ensure continued compliance with our current guidelines.

2. After-Sales Period

If customers wish to raise an after-sales dispute through TikTok's after-sales dispute handling service, their requests must be submitted within our applicable acceptance period as set out below.

After the acceptance period, all disputes between sellers and customers will be handled and resolved.

Unless required by applicable law, TikTok Shop will not intervene, except where necessary to facilitate communication between customers and sellers.

3. Eligibility

TikTok Shop only accepts after-sales disputes submitted by customers who have purchased products on TikTok Shop. We do not handle disputes relating to transactions conducted outside our platform.

The following cases fall outside the scope of these guidelines:

  • The customer does not submit a dispute within the applicable acceptance period;
  • The customer is not a genuine consumer;
  • The customer has decided to withdraw the dispute request;
  • There is no valid transaction between the customer and the seller;
  • An after-sales resolution has already been provided for the product (i.e., where either party fails to carry out agreed actions or intends to violate the agreed resolution). Please note that only one successful after-sales dispute request may be processed for each product;
  • An after-sales request is already in progress;

Two dispute requests relating to the relevant products have already been closed.

If we reject a dispute request, the customer or seller may seek further remedies through legal proceedings or other appropriate means.

4. TikTok Shop Intervention

TikTok Shop will act as an impartial party in any after-sales dispute arising from unresolved disagreements or conflicts during negotiations between sellers and customers. All outcome decisions are made at TikTok Shop's sole discretion. Decisions are neutral, unbiased, and based on the rules set out herein.

We do not guarantee that dispute resolution outcomes will meet the expectations of customers or sellers, nor do we accept any liability for such outcomes.

Customers and sellers have the right to resolve disputes and seek other remedies permitted by applicable law at any time.

5. TikTok Shop Dispute Decisions

TikTok Shop will review escalated disputes based on supporting documents submitted by sellers and customers.

Both sellers and customers must ensure the following:

  • All supporting documents must be submitted within the specified time limits set out in Section 9.

All information in the submitted documents must be authentic, relevant, complete, and accurate.

If a seller or customer fails to submit the required supporting documents, we will make a decision based on the documents received. We may also conduct further investigations based on the evidence submitted.

6. After-Sales Dispute Procedures

6.1 Platform Intervention
TikTok Shop encourages customers and sellers to first attempt to resolve after-sales requests themselves. All sellers should comply with TikTok's Customer Order Cancellation, Return, and Refund Guidelines when handling after-sales requests from customers.

If customers and sellers are unable to resolve an after-sales request, TikTok Shop will intervene if the customer submits a dispute request through TikTok Shop's after-sales dispute handling service.

6.2 Submission of Supporting Documents

Sellers and customers must submit all necessary supporting documents to TikTok Shop for dispute assessment.

  • We will first refer to the supporting documents submitted by customers during their previous communications with sellers regarding the original after-sales request.

If additional supporting documents are required, sellers and customers are responsible for collecting and submitting them as requested. For further examples of supporting documents, please refer to the table below.

6.3 Investigation and Communication

TikTok Shop will use the supporting documents submitted and relevant data in our system (e.g., order details) to review disputes. During the dispute handling process, we will use the seller's customer service contact information and the customer's contact information as the primary communication channels to notify both parties of the dispute outcome.

6.4 Withdrawal of Disputes

If customers and sellers reach a mutual agreement, they may withdraw the after-sales dispute request. If a dispute is withdrawn by the requesting party or rejected by us, the customer may submit a new request within the prescribed acceptance period.

Customers may submit a maximum of 2 dispute requests in total.

TikTok Shop will stop intervening in the following circumstances:

  • The customer and seller agree to resolve the dispute themselves.

The customer or seller decides to initiate judicial proceedings, for example, through courts, regulatory authorities, external mediation bodies, or other dispute resolution procedures.

6.5 Dispute Decisions

The following are our guidelines for dispute decisions:

  • If we determine that the submitted documents support the customer's dispute request, we will decide in favor of the customer.
  • If we determine that the submitted documents support the seller's position, we will decide in favor of the seller and reject the customer's dispute request.

If we determine that the documents submitted by the customer are insufficient to support their dispute request, we will decide in favor of the seller. For further examples of fair decisions, please refer to the After-Sales Dispute Table below.

Once a decision has been made, we will notify the customer and seller simultaneously. Sellers can also check the details through Seller Center, while customers can check the details under “My Account”.

  • If customers are dissatisfied with the decision, they may submit another dispute request to us. A customer may submit a maximum of two dispute requests for one product.
  • If sellers are dissatisfied with the decision, they may submit an appeal to TikTok Shop. Sellers can file an appeal through Seller Center or send an email to e-commerce@tiktok.com.

Please note that only one appeal is permitted for each dispute, and it must be submitted within 2 days after the dispute case is closed.

6.6 Post-Dispute Actions

If there are no further disagreements or disputes, the individual or entity determined to be responsible for the dispute must comply with the final decision and carry out the required post-dispute actions.

6.6.1 Sellers

If we determine that the seller is responsible for the dispute, the seller must take the necessary actions in accordance with the final decision within 48 hours. If the seller fails to take these actions, our payment service provider will automatically deduct the relevant amount from any payments owed to the seller.

Examples of post-dispute actions include, but are not limited to:
· Refunds or product replacements.
· Sending the required products.
· Other remedial measures.

If any shipping fees are involved, the seller must also bear those shipping costs.

6.6.2 Customers

In most cases, customers must return the products to sellers, except where the products are ineligible for return (e.g., counterfeit, completely damaged, lost, or customized products). In these cases, refunds will be processed without requiring the products to be returned.

The following are some specific cases involving product returns.

· The product(s) do not match the order.
· If the complaint involves fraud or deceptive products, once the customer returns the product (and uploads the shipping information), the seller should bear all risks of breakage, damage, and loss of the product.
· If the complaint does not involve fraud or deceptive products, once the customer returns the product (and uploads the shipping information), the seller should bear the risk of breakage, while the customer should bear the risk of damage and loss of the product.

· Product(s) with quality issues:
· If the quality issue is serious (such as a defective or unusable product), once the customer returns the product (and uploads the shipping information), the seller must bear all risks of breakage, damage, and loss.
· If the quality issue is minor (such as the sound of an electronic toy being too quiet), once the customer returns the product (and uploads the shipping information), the seller must bear the risk of breakage, while the customer must bear the risk of damage and loss.

7. Additional Information

TikTok Shop may use third-party information to verify disputes. This information may be used as a reference when we make decisions and determine outcomes.
If a seller delivers a large quantity of poor-quality products or products that do not match their listings, we will take the following actions:

  • We will investigate to determine whether the seller intended to fulfill the order correctly.

If we determine that the seller acted maliciously and did not intend to fulfill the order, we will facilitate refunds from the seller to the customer.

If the seller's products are reported by the media as substandard or unsafe, or are found by regulatory authorities or third parties to be non-compliant or unauthorized, we will take the following actions:

  • We will facilitate refunds from the seller to the customer.
  • The seller must take responsibility for promptly recalling the products and must facilitate refunds.

If the product recall does not apply to all product batches, the seller must provide supporting documents demonstrating why the affected products do not need to be recalled.
